Safe Sleeping

Keep your baby close. The safest place for your baby to sleep is in a cot by the side of your bed. This means you can hear your baby and respond to her needs before she starts crying or becoming distressed, you can reach her easily. It is not recommended that you fall asleep with your baby in bed with you so if you are feeding in bed, it is vital that you put your baby back in his cot to sleep. Equally, if you sit on the sofa to feed, make sure you do not fall asleep with your baby.
